TNA iMPACT Taping Results (05/01)

The show opens with The Main Event Mafia coming to the ring without Sting. Kurt Angle says that because Mick Foley hit him with a chair on the last show, he should be part of the Ultimate Sacrifice Match at the next PPV. He adds that if he loses, the person who pins him will become the new leaser of the Main Event Mafia. Before the segment closes, Angle says that he'll be taking over Foley's office before the show was over.

Team 3D Invitational Tournament Quarterfinal Match: X-Division Champion Suicide and The Amazing Red def. The Motor City Machine Guns in Red's long awaited return to TNA.

LAX is jumped by a new British faction led by Brutus Magnus. Doug Williams and Big Rob Terry are also involved. Homicide came out to the ring and the we had ourselves a handicap match. Magnus, Williams, and Terry won that one.

Stretcher Match: Awesome Kong def. Madison Rayne

Abyss def. Cody Deaner in a match that allowed Deaner to use weapons, but not Abyss.

The Motor City Machine Guns came out to the ring and called out Christopher Daniels. They said that they know he is Suicide and begin explaining how they know and running down the reasons. Eventually, Daniels comes out and says that he doesn't owe anyone an explanation. He then left them laying.

Booker T and Kevin Nash def. AJ Styles and Samoa Joe in the main event. Joe didn't even come down to the ring until about half way through the match. Upon his arrival he and AJ Styles began arguing.

The arguing would also continue after the match at which point Styles slapped Joe causing a brawl. They were separated by the referees to close the show.
